Down With Love - Jerry Yan and Ella Chen

It’s 2010 and there are probably many new Taiwan drama series that are about to start. I chose some of those I think will get the interest of the viewing public and Down With Love would go up to your top 10 Taiwan Drama list this year. It is an idol drama considering that it has Jerry Yan and Ella Chen for its main cast.

If you are not familiar with them (which I seriously doubt it if you are into Taiwanese dramas), let me give a brief background for these two actors. I think two drama titles will make you remember them. Jerry for Meteor Garden and Ella for Hana Kimi.

The storyline is typical but still effective. Poor, funny babysitter charming her way into the heart of a cold ruthless divorce lawyer. Hold your horses, Jerry is not married. He just hired her to take care of her dead brother’s kids. He is so frustrated by the previous nannies. They all ended up resigning because of kids antics or falling in love with him. His secretary then recommended her very own sister. Apparently, the family needed money badly and so she kinda lied to her boss that her sister does not like men. She is boyish but he is not a lesbian.

It would be very interesting to see if Jerry and Ella has this magic chemistry on screen. It was reported that these two are friends and they have a great rapport offscreen. I am not saying that they are more than friends just to hype the series, what I am saying is that I like it when the lead actors of a drama series enjoys a comfortable friendship. It somehow reflects on the screen. This will start on the 24th of this month. I will definitely watch this one. Light romantic funny series with a hot guy — count me in!
